31 Weeks, 4 Days

It's been awhile. I'm guilty of not-blogging regularly about Kimber. But hey, it's only been two weeks...

Gestational diabetes (a.k.a. in our house "baby-chuga-beetees") sucks. The medicine that I'm on has made my levels drop to 48 for two days in a row now around 11am. And my levels are still jumping all over the place. I've tried taking it in the morning, and as of tomorrow, I will be taking it at night so if I do bottom out this next week, I'll be at home and not driving. That was mine and David's fear is that I would bottom out while driving and get in an accident. So, I'll take it right before I eat dinner, and then if I bottom out it should be around 8-9pm when I'm at home and David can be here in case I need him (except for the days he's on shift, of course). So no driving for me after I take it now until I go back next Wednesday.

My weight is doing good. Kimber has grown a lot and is no longer considered "growth restricted." We haven't been able to get any good face shots at the sonos because she is head down and seriously like about to fall-out, gross I know, but she is. Her feet are killing my ribs when I sit down and I'm having tons of contractions. This past weekend, mainly Sunday, I was having a contraction every 30 minutes for about 5 to 6 hours. It sucked!!!!!

But we're hanging in there. I'm hoping because of my baby-chuga-beetees that we'll be able to do the c-section on the Monday before Thanksgiving. That's my hope, so we'll see in a couple weeks what my doc wants to do. Once I pass 34 weeks, I'll be home free in my book. I had Josh, my first, at 36 weeks and Joey, my second, at 34.

To whoever reads this, please stay healthy. H1N1 is a non-pregnancy friendly flu bug to have! Praise the Lord, despite how exposed that I've been to it in my office, I've remained healthy except for a slight viral infection I had about two weeks ago!

Blessings!

  1. It looks like things are starting to look up a little! I'm so happy that Kimber has grown, and now it's just a matter of time before she can make her grand entrance into the world! :)
