April 1, 2009 - of all days! I had just dropped Josh off at school, and was heading home to meet our babysitter to watch Joey for the day. And it dawned on me, "Hey, I'm five days late!" So I got home, decided to take a test. (See pic on left... not the greatest pic, but you can still see the line.)
David was on shift. So I called my sitter and told her to book it! She got to the house, and I said a quick hi and bye to Jo-Jo and ran out the door to the fire department.
David was working on the truck and ran over and yelled, "Hey!" (I think I startled him!) And I gave him the stick and said, "Here we go again!" His reaction was a lot better than I had expected, which made me feel so much better.
So I came to the office, and took a confirmation test. (Once again, see pic on left!) Yup! No denying it! I'm preggo again! I posted it on Facebook and people thought it was an April Fool's joke. Even when I called David's mom and sister, they both thought it was a joke. I called my OB's office (which is FABULOUS! by the way) and they faxed over the lab sheet so I could have my nurse here at my office (which is FABULOUS! by the way) draw my blood. (She doesn't blow veins like other nurses do!!!)
According to conception date (Friday, March 13th) (yes a Friday the 13th... aren't the dates ironic!?) the due date is December 5. However, since I went early with both boys, I'm figuring we'll have baby #3 sometime mid to end of November!
I go on Thursday to my first OB appointment and we'll do a sono since I miscarried before getting pregnant with Jo-Jo and have had some other issues, just to make sure everything is coming along fine. I don't think I'm going to have a low hormone issue like I did with Jo-Jo.
So far, I've been extremely exhausted. But the boys have been good to let me have a couple naps over the weekend. And my appetite has been fierce! It's all good though, David's an excellent cook and I have some great leftovers for when he's not home! Yay food!!
Anyway, so we begin... please be in prayer for us. We are hoping for a little girl this time, but we will be happy as long as baby is healthy! Josh is ecstatic to be a big brother again and Joey... well, I'm not quite sure what Joey thinks about it. All I know is when I told him that I had a baby in my belly, he responds by saying, "Oh no, Momma." But when you ask him where the baby is, he'll point to my belly. And the boys have gotten into the routine of kissing my belly before going to bed at night, which is so sweet that they are excited about it!!
I'll update again after our appointment on Thursday! Blessings!
ha mid Nov you can shoot for the 24th :)
